Itinerary

Day 1: Varna

Arrival at Varna Airport. Transfer to hotel, orientation walk in the city center and free evening. Overnight in Varna.

Day 2: Varna – Shabla – Tyulenovo – Kaliakra

Excursion to Cape Shabla and its historic lighthouse, continue to the dramatic rocky coast of Tyulenovo and the archaeological reserve of Kaliakra Cape. Return to Varna. Overnight.

Day 3: Varna – Balchik – Aladzha Monastery

Visit the Botanical Garden and the Palace in Balchik, former residence of Queen Maria. Explore Aladzha Rock Monastery. Return to Varna. Overnight.

Day 4: Varna City Tour

Full-day exploration of Varna including the Planetarium, Naval Museum, Retro Museum and highlights of the seaside city founded as ancient Odessos. Free time. Overnight in Varna.

Day 5: Nessebar – Pomorie – Burgas

Travel south to UNESCO-listed Nessebar Old Town, visit Mesembria fortress and historic basilicas. Continue to Pomorie to see the Salt Museum and Pomorie Lake. Arrival and overnight in Burgas.

Day 6: Burgas – Sozopol

Transfer to Sozopol. Walking tour of the Old Town, visit St. Nicholas Monastery and Ravadinovo Castle. Free time. Overnight in Sozopol.

Day 7: Burgas & St. Anastasia Island

City tour of Burgas including Sea Garden, Pantheon and Poda protected area. Boat trip to St. Anastasia Island. Overnight in Burgas.

Day 8: Departure

Breakfast and transfer to Burgas Airport.
